Album Chart: Taylor Swift stays 'Fearless' at No. 1
Taylor Swift 's "Fearless" is likely to turn up in a lot of stockings tomorrow morning based on sales figures that find the latest offering from the country singer notching another week at the top of the US album chart.
With sales of about 330,000 copies, "Fearless" will spend its second consecutive week, and third week overall, in the No. 1 slot on The Billboard 200 chart. (Billboard bases its flagship chart on Nielsen SoundScan retail data.)
The strong sales week for "Fearless" was enough for the album to outdistance new sets from Keyshia Cole and Jamie Foxx , whose "A Different Me" and "Just Like You" debut in the Nos. 2 and 3 slots with sales of about 322,000 copies and 265,000 copies, respectively.
Meanwhile, Britney Spears ' "Circus," Beyonce 's "I Am ... Sacha Fierce," Nickelback 's "Dark Horse" and the "Twilight" soundtrack each drop two spots, with "Circus" landing at No. 4 on sales of 196,000 copies, "I Am ... Sacha Fierce" in at No. 5 with sales of 195,000 copies, "Dark Horse" claiming No. 6 with sales of 194,000 copies, and "Twilight" snagging No. 7 with sales of 156,000 copies, according to Billboard.
Rounding out the Top 10 are Fall Out Boy 's "Folie a Deux," which makes its debut at No. 8 after selling 150,000 copies its first week out; AC/DC's "Black Ice" at No. 9 on sales of 143,000 copies (which brings total sales of the album---available exclusively through Wal-Mart and Sam's Club stores, as well as the band's website---to more than 1.8 million copies since its September release, according to Billboard); and the "Now 29" hits compilation in at No. 10 with sales of 139,000 copies.
