The first-wave punk band X is perhaps best known for its anthem to the City Of Angels. The group's 1980 album, dubbed "Los Angeles," struck such a chord with fellow citizens, the group ended up receiving an Official Certificate of Recognition from the city. Withstanding the all-important test of time, 2003 saw the set listed at 286 on Rolling Stone Magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

Celebrating more than three decades since their humble beginnings, the group consists of original members Exene Cervenka, John Doe, Billy Zoom and D.J. Bonebrake. Though the band hs taken more than one hiatus over the years, fans will be happy to know that not only is X making the rounds this spring, including an appearance at the Coachella festival, they will also have the chance to influence which songs they get to hear.

In 2008, LiveDaily's Tim Mosenfelder attended X's set at Stubb's during the SxSW Music Festival in Austin, TX, and here are some of his photos.
