In keeping with Austin City Limits Festival tradition, fans who turned up at the beginning of Day 1 entered Zilker Park in Austin, TX, to the theme of Star Wars.
According to the event's website, tens of thousands turned out to take part in the 2009 installment of the three-day music extravaganza. The lineup of artists included John Legend , Them Crooked Vultures , Yeah Yeah Yeahs, K'Naan and Sara Watkins (who performed with John Paul Jones), Dave Matthews Band , Levon Helm , Mos Def , The Decemberists, Grizzly Bear , Henry Butler, Pearl Jam , The Dead Weather , The B-52's, Clutch, Heartless Bastards, Raul Malo and The Airborne Toxic Event , among many others.
