Aimee Mann Gallery Spotlight: Seattle, WA - Oct. 7, 2009

West Coast fans of Aimee Mann have one more week to catch her live in concert during her fall tour. She's been on the road in support of her 2008 release "@#%&! Smilers" which not only debuted at No. 32 on The Billboard 200 but also peaked at No. 2 on the Top Independent Albums chart.

In a statement on her website, Mann explained that the term "smilers" is something of a lampoon aimed at the unrelentingly smiley-faced aspect of pop culture. "I read an article that said that across all cultures, the single thing that people respond to most is a smiling cartoon face." Among the many contributors on the album are singer/songwriter Sean Hayes , who does a duet with Mann on the track "Ballantines," and author Dave Eggers, who adds some whistling to the tune "Little Tornado."

LiveDaily photographer Elisa Sherman caught up with Aimee Mann when she performed at Seattle's Moore Theatre on Wednesday (10/7) and here are some of her best shots.
