Backstreet Boys postpone remainder of summer tour
Backstreet Boys , who kicked off their summer tour early last month, have postponed the remaining dates on the run due to an injury to group member Nick Carter, according to a spokesperson for tour promoter Clear Channel Entertainment (formerly SFX). North American dates were scheduled through Aug. 31.
Carter has suffered a "metacarpal fracture of his right hand," according to Clear Channel. Details on how and when he suffered the injury were not available at press time. Carter was seen wearing a cast at the group's Saturday night (7/7) performance in Boston.
The group’s Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night (7/9-7/11) performances in Boston will now take place on Sept. 8, 9 and 10, respectively, the spokesperson said. Tickets can be exchanged or refunded at points of purchase until Sept. 2.
Information on the additional postponements was not available at press time, but a group spokesperson said that the group would issue a statement on Monday (7/7). Details will be posted at LiveDaily.com as soon as possible.
