The White Stripes schedule spring club tour
Detroit garage rock duo the White Stripes will begin a tour of the eastern United States beginning next month. It is scheduled to include a four-night stand in New York.
According to the band's official website, Detroit pop artist Brendan Benson supports for all the shows, with various bands opening throughout the tour; details are in the itinerary below.
The White Stripes are Jack and Meg White. They claim in interviews--and are still widely reported to be--brother and sister. However, it has long been reported in the Detroit press that the duo is actually a divorced couple. Their most recent album, "White Blood Cells" (Sympathy for the Record Industry), was one of the most critically acclaimed albums of last year--click here for a review of the album.
