50 Cent, Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz take two Source Awards each

With a pair of nods apiece, 50 Cent and Lil Jon and the East Side Boyz led the field at the Source Hip-Hop Music Awards on Monday night (10/13) in Miami.

Rapper 50 Cent took Album of the Year for "Get Rich or Die Tryin'," and also took the trophy in the male solo artist category. Georgia-based Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz won for the video "I Don't Give a ----" and in the top group category.

Nelly took the crown in the male artist category, while Lil' Kim won top female artist.

The first Source Awards took place in 1991, and the event has often been marred by violence. With help from Fruit of Islam, the Nation of Islam's security force, this year's event was free of conflict.

The event--which will air on the BET cable network on Nov. 11--did run hours behind schedule, according to the Miami Herald.
