Jonas mother spills beans on Nick's solo project

Nick Jonas' mother recently confirmed that the youngest Jonas Brother is working on a solo act called Nick Jonas & The Administration. Denise Jonas let the "secret" out this week, telling Parade.com, "Shhh! He's at the photo shoot for the album cover right now."

As the story hit the Internet, fans started wondering if the Jonas Brothers were breaking up. They're not, according to a letter Nick, Joe and Kevin posted at their MySpace page.

The young pop stars said each of them decided to do something "that was in our hearts" during a recent two-week break from touring. Kevin, the eldest JoBro, spent time with is fiance, and Joe, the middle brother, traveled to Australia and New Zealand.

Nick, 17, known as the main musical force in the group, decided to go to Nashville and work on a side project with four musicians he had worked with before.

"We've said from the beginning of our career as the Jonas Brothers that anything we do outside of the group is a side project because you can't break up brothers," Nick told his fans in the letter. "My brothers are my biggest supporters, and were on the phone with me everyday while I was in the studio asking how it was going, and telling me they couldn't wait to hear the record."

Kevin and Joe said, "We are so proud of our brother Nick. We know that we will be doing music together for the rest of our lives. But we are thrilled for you to hear these songs that were in his heart."

Nick Jonas & The Administration plan to release an album in early 2010; the Jonas Brothers are planning another world tour for next summer.
