Katie Couric nabs Lil Wayne, Justin Timberlake, for Grammy special

Katie Couric will interview several of music's biggest artists, including Justin Timberlake , Lil Wayne , Katy Perry and Taylor Swift , for the Feb. 4 "All Access Grammy Special," according to an item posted on the network's website. Grammy nominees Jonas Brothers, Carrie Underwood, Metallica, Ne-Yo, John Legend, Rascal Flatts, Duffy, Adele, Kid Rock, Jazmine Sullivan, Jordin Sparks, T-Pain and others also will appear on the broadcast.

Couric and Lil Wayne, who is the most nominated artist of the year, do some bowling as the rapper talks about his journey from an impoverished childhood to being hailed as one of the biggest selling rappers of the year; Wayne garnered eight Grammy nods this year for "Tha Carter III" including Best Rap Album and Album of the Year.

Perry, who is nominated for Best Female Pop Vocalist for her hit "I Kissed a Girl," shares her story about being raised as the daughter of former hippies turned devout pastors.

During the special, Couric takes a look inside Timberlake's multi-faceted career, which now includes writing, producing, performing, running a label and a clothing line and charity work.

The CBS news anchor also hits the road with Swift and the young star's mother to take a peek behind the scenes of the Grammy-nominated performer's rise to fame.

Couric's "All Access Grammy Special" kicks off CBS' road to The 51st Annual Grammy Awards, to be broadcast live from The Staples Center in Los Angeles Feb. 8 at 8 p.m. ET.
