Hard rockers Mudvayne and Black Label Society will take to the road this summer atop the roster of the inaugural "Pedal to the Metal" tour.
Scheduled to kick off in late July, the outing will also feature Static-X , Suicide Silence, Dope and Bury Your Dead, as well as the "extremely twisted Hellzapoppin sideshow review, performing during set changes throughout the evening," according to a press release.
Tickets for the 30-plus dates on the itinerary (shown below) will be available to each band's fan-club members beginning next Wednesday (6/10) via a pre-sale at the tour's soon-to-be-launched website, which goes live that same day. The general public will get their first crack at tickets beginning June 12, according to organizers.
"The tour started as a summer tour with us and Black Label Society, but as we started fleshing out ideas, it transformed into this really cool concept," Mudvayne frontman Chad Gray said in a prepared statement. "We're really excited, because this package is a merging of great bands, good people and f---ing amazing fans. It'll be great to bring them all together."
"I was looking forward to a full throttle assault with just Mudvayne this summer, but when Chad said ‘Let's do more,' I was all-in," BLS singer/guitarist Zakk Wylde added. "On behalf of JD, Craig, Nick, the Doom Crew Inc. and myself, we can't wait to see our Black Label family and the entire Black Label nation once again, rollin' through hell and destroying everything in our path!"
"I'm very picky about who we tour with," Static-X frontman Wayne Static chimed in. "I think Static-X slaughter most bands live, and I pride myself in our show--I refuse to open for a band that I don't think is worthy, so that says a lot about Mudvayne, Zakk Wylde, and this entire package."
As noted in the itinerary below, some dates on the upcoming run are radio-station-sponsored events, and may not feature the entire " Pedal to the Metal Tour " roster, according to organizers.
