Synthpop act Cobra Starship will hit the road this summer for a headlining tour as the band starts the countdown for its third studio album, "Hot Mess."
The group kicks off the trek July 28 in New York City, and will hit 21 cities in total on the trip, which concludes Aug. 31 in Providence, RI. Dates are below.
"Hot Mess" is due in stores Aug. 11. The set's first single, "Good Girls Go Bad," features vocal contributions from actress/singer Leighton Meester, and was produced by Kevin Rudolf (Lil Wayne, Justin Timberlake).
The video for the song, again featuring Meester (who appears on the CW's "Gossip Girl" TV series), can currently be viewed at the group's MySpace page.
Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen labelmate Fall Out Boy's frontman Patrick Stump produced Cobra Starship's sophomore effort, 2007's "Viva La Cobra!," which debuted at No. 80 on The Billboard 200 album chart.
